Fonts and licenses

Kadrio uses open-source fonts to render subtitles and lay out the interface. This page is the formal attribution and license listing those fonts require.
Licenses
All fonts in the catalog are open-source and permit commercial use (including in SaaS products like Kadrio):
- SIL Open Font License 1.1 — covers the 21 fonts listed below. Full license text — /fonts/OFL.txt.
- Bitstream Vera + DejaVu license — permissive license for DejaVu Sans (used as a subtitle fallback).

Reserved Font Names
Some fonts carry an RFN — a name protected under OFL §3. We distribute the original files from Google Fonts / authors as-is, without modification. For a couple of variable fonts (Lora, Playfair Display) we instance Bold weights locally — the same way Google Fonts CDN does. If you're the font author and consider this a violation of OFL, please reach out and we'll adjust.
